How many people actually up strength their units?

and also another question does it save any money on building per day?

I sometimes build "full strength" tank battalions. By the time I bother with it, I am so rich I do not look at price tags, so I do not know about comparative "cost per day".

I'll do it with air units mostly. The extra bang his helpful, and you don't have to worry about transport costs getting screwed up....like making a battalion so large it can't be airlifted.

I do it with Engineers - when you use them to speed facilities construction they work that much better.

I alway do for survivability unless I'm keeping an eye on weight for transportation issues.
