strange, all i did to add units was change the excel file (SRUNIT.csv). Then i saved the file, went into mapeditor, imported equip file, and then my units were in the map editor ready to place.

Yes, but I want to add this units to tech tree to use them in all missions.

Maybe I'll make a list of new units and someone make it in game? In my opinion some of them should be in game to make it more interesting.

mine only work for custom missions and map editors stuff the way I have done it, maybe I try it the other way to get my ship in. Then if it works, post me your stats and I will add them for you. :-)

yes, i also got the thing in your picture but slightly different, and i live in the UK. I thought you just modified the SR units files and then imported it into the map editor and it would modify the DEFAULT.UNI file. Its strange, maybe i should just import the text from the sr units file into the notepad to see what happens.

Ok, I finally have figured it out (how clever). GO into your custom folder and find the SRUNITS.csv file. copy this to your desktop or somewhere. work on this copy and keep an original somewhere else. using excel I added my unit design (scubanuat). I then imported it using map editor. The DEFAULT.UNI file is in the custom/data file. Move this then into the maps/data file.

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP AN ORIGINAL COPY OF THE DEFAULT.UNI AND SRUNITS.csv file somewhere unless you want them even on custom maps. Replace these files back into the custom folder and you will have your normal units in for just the missions and default scenarios. Hope that helps you a bit.

If it still not work, work out roughly what the unit should be like and I will mod it onto a seperate copy just for you. :-)

Although whether it will work on missions i dont know as there is a mission.uni file that might have to be modded to but i do not know how to do that myself.

This would be stupid what I say, but I don't know how I can import this unit file to my map editor.... As I see I don't have skills to modifying games... |O

I niether have the skill, but are willing to learn. Once you have placed the SRUNITS where i said, open your editor, on the obttom bar thingy, next to the options like exit, load, save, new. there should be 4(or 5) little buttons, press the top one, it should be the import military units or something like that, if you still cant do it, post your units specs to me, and I will work it for you.

Thanks!! I'v found it. And after that when I import new units to map editor I have to copy the default from costum to maps? And overwrite the old one?

EDIT: It works. Thanks a lot :-)

EDIT2: One more question - When I add any planes to list they are not in Map editor and game... I know that w ID is unused before but new planes are not in the list. I add them as units for group T - Czech, Austria, Ygoslavia, Finnish, Poland, Romanian

I can add Tanks and land units but planes and ships no.

I don't know why there is a problem - I can add tanks and infantry, but planes and ships and artillery no. I haven't checked anything more. I add unit to the list by copying the old one, then I rename it and give new ID number but when I import the unit list to map editor I can't find it.

Maybe the problem is with ID? This is question to people who made the game - are there any limits with ID numbers?

And one more question - there are units like OT-62 Topas - it isn't in the game and the line in UNIT file about this unit is empty. What is it?

there is a limit appranently, but it is really high. 4130 it says at bottom.

If you don't know where the ID is used or not. use numbers between 3226 - 4000. put them under the upgrades, and it should work then. Modding it isn't too hard, I only started yesturday after all.....

SOme numbers have been used already, but the goats can tell you where you can put the ID between number wise.

The numbers are all also in a very odd order, this will also make it more confusing. guessing is best recommended until the goats can help you.

Do you guys know when we try to use the map editor, the unit is represented by the straight bar and V-shaped bar. I know the straight bar represents the experience, but what does the V-shaped bar represent ? Thanks.
