Gang:
I really have no desire to play as a huge nation and battle my way across the globe -- something smaller, but worth building is more my style.
So I'm playing as Hungary -- and thoroughly enjoying myself -- but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth playing a long game......I took Serbia, but took a major diplomatic hit. Next I want Croatia and Bosnia, but I think I'm going to be such an outcast that it won't be worth it.
Maybe I need to play a game like that on easy diplomacy and high world volatility....to give myself more opportunities for conquest without being a pariah?
Thanks.

The best way to avoid diplomatic hit of DoW is provoking them to declare war on you. Send a lot of spies on mission and as they get caught, their CB against you will raise and when it hits 100% they will attack you (if you have a land border with them). This works only against technologically stronger nations as they can catch your spies while smaller countries usually fail at that.

No one declares war on me......despite my efforts!
Good advice thought guys, thank you.
I just space out my wars and be REALLY nice in between.
