Greece sends in its Air Force to start pummeling Macedonia.

Forces from Greece cross our border.

25 Mar 2020

Greece now has a two pronged attack into Macedonia. We have mustered our very inadequate defense force of 1 BTR-80 and 3 Light Inf units, all other units are still in repair from the Serbian campaign in the north.

Image

We manage to more or less hold off the main attack of the eastern prong with the help of the Garrison and artillery. We now move our defense force, the same 4 units, and the artillery to the western prong and the city of Bitola. Despite not having any money or manpower left we set DEFCON 1 and raise all military spending to max. The thought is, if we can just hold this initial thrust we can recover.

Image

Despite our best efforts Bitola is on the verge of falling. We lack Military Goods and we have no money to purchase any more. A State of Emergency is declared, Social Services are slashed and taxes raised. State run media is urging all citizens to contribute; sacrifices have to be made if we are to survive as a nation!

Bitola is lost! We withdraw to defensive lines behind Prilep and the Coal Mines west of it.

The Greeks press forward and catch our slow moving arty, 4 of the 7 units are destroyed, but this puts the Greeks in a crossfire between the above mentioned two defense positions. As the last three arty units pull away north the Greeks realize the position they are in and pull out of the crossfire. They are now attacking each position individually.

We issue new bonds in an attempt to gain money and purchase Military Goods.

30 Mar 2020

The Coal mine defensive position in falling, we can do nothing but watch as we have no bullets/ammo. We cannot hope to raise enough cash to purchase any as the price is more than we get when issuing a Bond. We do not even have enough Reserves to raise Garrison units now.

Greece has powerful military, enough to storm Turkey.

Greeks will face problems at Skopje siege, because AI will send units without a plan.. But finally they will win.

In reality FYROM has support from US and they will win any regional war, but in the game it is impossible because AI will not send ships full with armies to support an allie. One solution for this could be to merge US and their allies, so that US army be anywhere needed. Or give to these satellites some of US units, equal with the forces stationed in US bases around the world. Or better, equal with the forces US can deploy anytime in every part of the world.

Right here. It is a tad difficult to put in the hours for an AAR when only a couple of people comment on it. Zero motivation :(

EDIT: whats even funnier, I believe this was your most commented/followed AAR in quite some time :D

Tell me about it. If I didn't have the opportunity to let the game run while I worked, I wouldn't even be doing mine.

of course it's about getting attention, but that applies to everyone posting something.
as for "zero motivation" it's up to GIJoe to decide , but people reading an AAR and commenting it are 2 different things so I'm sure there are much more than a couple.I have been enjoying reading people's AARs long before posting a comment on one.
