South African AAR (SREE mod AAR)

Post by Hullu Hevonen »

The game date is mid 1996 when this chronicle is written.
History of South Africa under the regime of Hullu Hevonen
President Hullu Hevonen was popularly elected president on 31.12.1991 with the promize to revitalize the economy and restore South Africa as a prosperous nation. South Africa stayed out of all the major conflicts raging and erupting after the fall of the eastern block. South Africa even stayed neutral during the Japanse-Western invasion of China, that culiminated in the fall of the Communist Chinese regime in 1993 with millions dead. Japan has since become one of the dominant powers in the World. Russia supported China but with no luck. Russia had earlier in 1992 also invaded Georgia through it's proxies. A 2nd Iran-Iraq war ended in the defeat of Saddam Hussein in early 1994. As western attention was in Asia, Syria and Egypt decided to launch a two front war against Israel, that ended in total Israeli defeat in late 1994. While all these wars where raging, we here in South Africa where putting lots of resources in the economy and research, which by 1994 had built itself a sizeable army. SA has implemented tax reforms, making taxation more progressive, invested in infrastructure and industry. This has resulted in a GDP/c from 2933$ to 6903$ 19.6.1996.

Hullu Hevonen when coming to power, drew up a top secret plan which involved annexation of many states in southern africa. The purpose of this plan is to create a huge buffer zone in case of an invasion from the North, creation of an Armada capable of competing with Western navies. The Top Secret Plan has not been discovered, but the actions of the state of SA has been very unpopular domestically and especially in the effected countries :P . These acts of unjustifiable Invasion of other states has been widely condemned by the international community, though the international community remains passive towards SA. Hullu Hevonen has delivered as promised during the election campaign, still the domestic audience condemns him. !!! ??? !!!

The Grand plan
The game has been quite peaceful the latest year, all countries around are arming themselves. South Africa is as well arming it self, especially the navy will
get more attention in the future. South Africa has 3 Battleships and 2 Carriers in it's arsenal. The Plan is to create 3 armadas. At least one of these will be
deployed for an invasion of the US, which is also one of the objectives of the game. The Army will also be built/expanded and in the future also amphibious transport
ships to transport units. The economy is as well improving fast, with a high GDP/c growth, though the rest of the world's GDP's are as well growing fast. It's safe to
say that the world has recovered from the economic crisis plaguing the world at the beginning of 1990's. :-)

Everything is going well for Greece, they have only lost little in the squables of bigger nations, their economy is also ok. They have though ~17000 kia :-( .
