If the US moved into Poland to kick out the Russians in '60 the Polish would like the US, not want to be US citizens. They'd want a democratic Polish country. That's sphere again, not loyalty.ZT Strike wrote:...the majority of the population came to support the West...

Re: Loyalty?
Will it be possible to occupy an allies land in cold war ?
It was in the sr series to date. And that put the player in an interesting spot.He could let the enemy hold the land, letting down the population of his defeated ally ,or be penalized for taking the land away from the enemy.
I dont see why loyalty has to end with annexation.Im for it being possible, but i in no way see why it must be the end goal.Especially in this setting. And to punish an ally for holding another allies land in the same way and at the same rate that the game would for a conqueror holding the land is a flaw, made larger in this case by the setting.

We're working on this issue still, the issue of Russians in Hungary comes to mind so it's important to us.tkobo wrote:Will it be possible to occupy an allies land in cold war ?

What about Manchuria, would that count ? They seem to be occupied to two countries. Im unfamiliar with the area and unsure if they view their occupation as postive. So, let's open the floor to the counter-point : when in the Cold War period (1950-1990 ish) was loyalty to an occupier ever affected positively ?

Re: Loyalty?
Manchurians are a nationality of Han Chinese that live in the area that is surrounded by Eastern Siberia, Korea, Mongolia, and what is "real China." The China that we know of today is 3 times larger than "real china." Real China is the area of China where the Han live and think of themselves as Chinese. This land area is well represented by the North and South China of the Shattered World Campaign in SR2020. The Manchurians, while being Han don't care for the Chinese. In fact there is quite a bit of bad history and bad blood between the 2. In early 1949, Manchuria should still be independent. They won't become occupied until 1950 when the Communists from China come in with force. I don't know how how they plan to work this into the game. In early 49, china itself is divided into 2 camps, the Communists and the Nationalists. Not to mention you have all the areas the communists will occupy in the next 2 years. IE. Tibet, Manchuria, Saking, Inner Mongolia, and Yannan.Hundane wrote:What about Manchuria, would that count ? They seem to be occupied to two countries. The Patton is already in unit database and was a staple of the Cold War forces, of course it will be in.michael63000 wrote:...I'm just saying, will there be M60's?

Re: Loyalty?
Yay, I will play as Israel and Destroy Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and all the other arab countries that want to fight my M60A1 fleet, but first the Game Must be Released, in Q2 2011. I would of probably finished Year 11 High School, entering my last year in High School then into Engineering.Balthagor wrote:The Patton is already in unit database and was a staple of the Cold War forces, of course it will be in.michael63000 wrote:...I'm just saying, will there be M60's?

Sorry for hijacking, so back to loyalty, what if you're at peace, and there was land that was unloyal to you, could that land be returned to the original nation or create a rebel force during peace times?
