IOF-2 is an infantry unit. Around 1950s tech or lower, and both my primary and US primary infantry unit (with their 1940s tech) in my current game. My best tank, best artillery units were purchased from them, best AA from Germany, I don't use anti-tank really. Yes, my best land units were still purchased from others although I get a worldwide (read really bad, but better than nothing) infantry unit every 20 years of tech. Still IOF is the best infantry I have, and the best land unit I have by far. Again, I don't expect to get a new design until laser weapons or such exotic stuff - been here a half dozen times before.

The US has basic jet aircraft, nobody other than me has missile technology or nuclear weapon technology or built nuclear power plants, I have had those for 20 years.

Dude, there aren't any tank designs and **** few of any land designs between WWI and exotic weapons technologies for Worldwide. If I have to keep saying this every response then I give up, it's a serious uphill battle to point it out. Had the same **** fight pointing out for years that nuclear weapon usage occurs no penalty.

So yeah, i'll just go buy designs off of some other country or something. Not fighting this one anymore, which shouldn't be a fight.

I have every tank, plane and ship tech into the 21st century.

Think I would know if I had a design I could research bud. Pretty simple screen for me to look at, but you keep looking for stuff I didn't see in that very short unit design research list I have because I obviously am missing the wonderful designs I could be using and couldn't possibly be right. Guys, simply believe people sometimes instead of fighting them tooth and nail on a subject they are intimate on and you are not. And it's hardly just a Greenland problem. Giving up on this fight though.

Well that's what im saying all along. Load regions from SR2020 and SRU and compare designs. But i know who we have to fight.. So we better come with good suggestions on how to improve it. As far as WW2 go, your on your own. I think it's pointless to fight that one. To many people want to keep it 'realistic'.. while forgetting the real world and gameplay i guess.

quick look in default.unit at that TL-3 Regal:
Regions: ABDHJKQTVYZ

here are the worldwide available tanks: (even without disregarding the useless "Storm" Tanks with combat time 2 - there is nothing in between WW2 and near future)

From the games perspective multiple really just means any kind of combination of region groups. The WAH-64 Longbow is a "multiple" unit but is only available to region groups M and U. Likewise Worldwide really is just a region group like every other. The VH-118APC is a good example of unit belonging to region group W but listed as multiple due it also belonging to groups ABEIJKLNOQSV. 1936 Greenland is O and W so only multiples including either of those will be available. Tl-1 to TL-3 is neither of those so no they are not available. I think there is a 1985 AMX-13 design in region group O though not that it is an amazing unit.

In general multiple is a quite annoying description as you have no idea if it applies to the region you are playing.

I must admit that I dislike design like the VH-118 APC. Not due to them being fictive but due to them being so widely available. In the case of VH-118 APC you could have a 4 slugfest in asia between The ROC, ROK, Japan and the DPRK with all of them using this vehicle.
Given that the game generally has a tendency towards representing equipment in greater detail than "this is a 1965 tracked APC" I just think it looks wrong.
Naturally in some cases it is hard to avoid as both Argentina and Brazil are in the same group so there the options are limited but with those 4 they belong to different region groups.

In the case of the TL-3 and its predecessors the TL-1 and TL-2 I really see no problem with adding them to say region group O or W also.
It might be possible to remove it from a few other region groups also as honestly I think fictive designs should only be used where needed.

That said one of the problems I see with adding enough units to make say the W region group competitive alone is just the sheer amount of work required. Depending on how far this should be taken we might be talking about a whole line of tanks, aircraft, IFV's, warships etc. Ideally these would not be trash but likewise not to the point where a Russian or US player would want them over their own designs.

Also if we start to add fictive designs for the sake of balance we could also look at other region groups. The only one that is probably more or less completely capable on its own is the U group with R being a second.

China is a good example. Outside of the generic infantry units region group C and V designs start appearing around 1950-1970 depending on what you want to do. W can help here though as China does belong to it.

Germany is another good example. There is a huge number of world war 2 designs but after that there is basically nothing.
In some cases it just stops completely like last strategic bomber is a 1953 design or in others there is a huge gap.
Germany has no multirole between the me-155 (world war 2 concept) and the Eurofighter. For interceptors it is an early 1950's me-262 design to the mid 1980's Tornados and then nothing.
For tanks it is advanced world war 2 designs to leopards and I suspect those entwicklungsserie armour where added by Zuikaku.

Yes G is better off than W or O but if the argument for adding designs is balance it might as well be brought up there also as it has balance issues too.

Adding to W could naturally be used as an argument as it could also go everyone else but then we are back at the "same design for everyone" situation which if it was a design choice fine but largely the series is going in a different direction with very specific equipment.

All this said please do not take this as an argument against adding to region group W or anything

Devolopers have claimed that only the weapons that exist will be added. Here is a weapon that has been developed by Serbia in the last couple of years. Yugoimport is official state produces weapons of serbia army. They are liked from his site.

I would ask devolopers to respond to this post.

They could really insert new units that the Serbian Army developed over the past couple of years. because the X group was left without artillery. In fact, the following artillery weapons have been developed here and its links.

1. Rocket system Sumadija-( http://www.yugoimport.com/en/proizvodi/ ... nch-weapon) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumadija_ ... _launcher) (https://defence-blog.com/news/serbia-de ... 80-km.html)
