Well I have a bit of experience seeing as I have made UGBITS 7 and 8 ^_-
Also here is a very quick and simple help-sheet for UGBITS13.
It should help in lining up the pictures and getting the numbers right (assuming I have not messed them up that is).

That's GREAT
Now I can understand how the numbering system works, I'll start with just two or three, probably paste over a starting aircraft stats to see it in the build list without running the game for years, then if i seems ok add the correct stats!

Forget trying to do that, it ended up being more work that it was worth.
The next best thing was to chose a starting date where the units were likely to show up like 1942.
4 units were added replacing the for the DO 17 (Two, of them I later found out) possibly 3 if I use it for the DO 217, then the Fw200 Condor again two a B and a C model, Hs129 and the He 177.
I built plastic models of these aircraft and just too familiar with them to be comfortable with the allied "placeholder" models the default game uses.
I did not see the hs129 or He177 in game yet, just have to wait till the game progresses but the DO 17 and Condor appeared just fine.
The UBITS13 png guide you provided helped immensely, I added some numbers to the first three rows to further aid in placement (used 3072 -3075.
Using already existing icons from the other sheets, they were put on the 13th sheet to maintain style consistency.
TheUNIT000.X file in the .RAR does have to be renumbered to match as well. I was amused to discover a fatfinger error in my DEFAULT.UNITS, instead of typing 3072 for my first attempt at the renumbered the DO 17, I typed 372 and a fusion power building was flying around.

Here is the sheet from the link with a half page of numbers added over a hundred unit slots to get started, I'll finish it when I get more time, the number will show up ingame unless erased to see what slot the sprite has to go
