It was great to finally release the Map Editor to our player community ... to those that have taken a look the tool can be a bit intimidating, and there are definitely some tricks to get it all working (in particular, making sure your .scenario file is created first and correctly), but we will be making a couple of improvements to make it easier. Here is a Roadmap to Map Editor updates and wish list items:
- Allow the "HD Tiles" (map tile pictures) to be customized or turned off (ETA mid-August)
- Allow Custom Scenarios to load their MAPS and MAPS\DATA elements from the Custom folder (prevent overwrites of original or other mods) (ETA late August)
- Steam Workshop integration (ETA late August, hopefully)
- Having Caches create into \Cache or \Custom directory (no moving of cache file) (ETA late August)
