The Secret History of the American Empire

Post by D.B. Cooper »

This story is for entertainment purposes only, and doesnt reflect my personal views or beliefs. I love history and like to play around with "what if's"
So I wanted to share my US 1936 AAR, that I think could be pretty cool. Most of the history thats here is true, though some are added in for fun. If
you question something that might not be true I urge you to look it up, you'd be suprised with some of the things that have happened over the last
100 years.

I will follow along with history as much as possible, but as the world evolves there will always be random events that will alter history so you can
expect some unfamiliar events here. Lastly there are several conflicting stories about a few world events in history so we will have some fun going
through those in this adventure.

Anyways, enjoy the docu/aar and im pretty new to the forums, so if anyone has any suggestions on anything that I could improve, add or remove
please let me know. Thanks!!!

Most people assume there's to much fighting going on today, so lets take a look at how the world was getting along in the early 1900's.
Its frightening to think about how this world would be today, if this much violence still existed. There was no such thing as the internet
or camera phones back then so im sure alot of atrocities happened that were easily covered up going unnoticed by the the world. :-(

Nice AAR, but I notice FDR's environmental spending looks pretty shambolic. You should fix that.

Thanks, and yeah I moved it up to about $15 M. per day by the end of march. I noticed as I increased social spending my unemployment
dropped quickly just like what happened with the second "New Deal" Roosevelt signed. Thanks for the link by the way. :D

Sorry for the long history lesson here, but i'm trying to paint a picture of the state of the world in the early 1900's.
Its pretty unnerving to look at the whole picture about how our governments ruled not long ago and it really got
me interested in learning about just how crazy the world was less than 100 years ago.

A professor who spent his career assembling data on collective violence and war R.J. Rummel, wrote several books
on "death by government" over the last few hundred years and estimates that just between 1900-2000 over 260 Million
people have been killed either directly or indirectly by thier own government.

These numbers may be a little high but are pretty close to reality and is a clear example of what happens when rouge states
are left to do as they please. Some may say "mind your own business" or "Stay out of it" but this is what happens when the
responsible few dont make a stand.

Imagine if the United States and her allies never cared, as long as it wasnt happening to them. How many more millions of families
wouldnt be here today if the killing continued. Even toady most people think America just needs to mind its own business but you
see what can happen when the world is left un-checked, without global balance of power. It doesnt take much for truly evil people
to take control of a country and reign terror on its population.

The United States spends more money on defense than the top 25 military powers in the world "combined" for a reason...To show
the world we are always ready to stand and fight evil when the time comes to protect the weak or innocent.

Thank you GreenGoblin, Fabiorizzo, Sawedoff, and Ater for showing interest in this AAR. I really enjoy putting it together and learning more about history as I go. With 4 kids, Christmas, a few birthdays and Valentines day, they really took a lot of my time so I did have to put this on hold, but i'm back at it and hope to have more regular updates.

Any suggestions please let me know, enjoy!!!
