SRGW - Russia - Capital Ship (BB) class should be available to Build

Post by geminif4ucorsair »

* * Russia had a further class of battleships laid down in 1912-13 that is not in SR-Great War: the Izmail (Borodino) class.

Two each were laid down at Baltic Works and Admiralty Works shipyards, St. Petersburg, and all launched from June to October 1915, all due to commission in the following year. The class were slightly larger "Sevastopol" class ships, whose designs were done by international competition (including Vickers, UK). Several of the modifications from the earlier series included heavier deck armor and more radical changes in design were contemplated (including a 10-meter increase in length and 2,500-ton increase in displacement), but as battlecruisers, they were faster than contemporary battleships. Their general appearance remained much as "Sevastopol" class/

* * The class design should be at minimum be added to Available to Build list.
