Crash to Desktop

I have a late game crash to desktop which seems something I can't bypass by load and continue playing..

within 2-3 minutes on very fast it crashes.

let me know if you want the savegame.

September 20 1928 is where the crash happens (repeatable)

made a saved game so just let me know.

I'd bet some event between Finland - USSR since Finland conquered Russia already in my game.

Are you using the latest (non-insider) build? This issue has been resolved already. It occurs on a WMDATA transition date.

i enabled the steam beta option so i think non-insidee

That would be the insider build, opt-out of the steam beta and the issue should be fixed.

true, can bypass it.

funny the insider remains at .52 while the non-insider updates to .54

Both are actually .57

Make sure you are running through Steam to get the latest updates.

Well then the updates not getting through here.

9.1.54 still

Even did the file integrity check

properties ... local files ... verify integrity of game files..

and remains at 9.1.54

and yes I have selected always keep this game up to date under the updates..

Oh, I never know which version I'm playing.. I thought their engines are the same only different maps?

hmmm.. I think it's TGW, at least the steam picture is that of TGW..

hmm.. maybe steam totally messed up here if you think it's maybe the wrong version.. Let me uninstall all games and steam and reinstall.

I have a fiber optical internet so will take me under 10 minutes to download and install everything from scratch :)

ok, uninstalled and installed everything from scratch and now I have the 10.1.57.

guess my steam apps got somehow messed up..

will try with the 10.1.57 version :)

The Steam servers were a bit wonky during the sale. That should fix your issue now.
