Game once you reach the 1930 and beyond.

I am finally into the 1930's on a 1914, Sandbox start. A concern of mine is the game started at Volitility: None. For those who have made it into and beyond this time frame, does anything interesting happen with the None setting?

I'm assuming no, but you can change the volatility later if I remember correctly. So basically none at first so the war can play out realistically, and then changing it higher so that things will progress afterwards. But all the events that are in later games aren't in GW so I doubt very much happens at all with volatility at none the whole time.

No, I asked Balth and he said no events in the sandboxes go that far. So don't expect ww2 or cold war events to happen.

ctrl + shift + s = you can change volatility settings.* Enjoy!

* only in single player, but since you can run multi player saves in single player mode, you can do it in both!

Changing volatility after the start of the game won't change the relationships the way it does before the start of the game. This thread brings up a fair concern, with the scope of the development cycle the focus was mostly on the war years and setting the proper starting points. We haven't really outlined an ongoing roadmap yet so I can't offer much on the discussion.

I am familiar with the shift + cntrl + S, my question was mainly intended to see how the game handled in the later years, since it is now a DLC making it a part/mechanic of SRU. It seems Mr. Latour understood.

From 1931 all nations were Blue. I kept the game going to see what would happen. In the latter half of 1937, not sure of exact month, several nations switched to Red. Then war broke out in both Europe and S. America. I watched and continued to do my thing as a neutral nation. In Jan 1937 Poland declared war on me.

I am not sure if the switch from Red aligned to Blue is programmed, but it did give me something to do and woke the game up.
