The many Perils of Leadership
Long story short; I finally had a game where Great Britain was not invaded and France held long enough for me to assemble a force. I was able to land at Saint-Nazaire shortly after it fell and capture it. From there we pushed out and was able to eventually defeat Germany. Shortly thereafter, Austria-Hungary declared war on me. I was able to defeat them. War in Europe is over in March,1926. I am cleaning up the German colonies in Africa and the Pacific when Jun 30th rolls around. I lose the election. Game over.

I'm surprised that there was no option for you to remain in power, via dictatorship etc.
If you have time, could you continue your Macedonia let's-play or start a new one with a very small country? Nail-biters are the best to watch.

Hello golden.pole. I could have continued as a dictatorship, but that was not what the game was about. It would not have been my USA under a dictatorship.
The Macedonia game was done in SR2020. I have not done any recording or SR2020 playing in a long time now. SRU and GW have been keeping me busy. I do plan on starting a new AAR with SRGW. I wanted to wait until GW was incorporated into SRU (DLC) and have at least one more "patch/update" before I started.

I suppose it is good the game has to end sometime.
I was surprised when I first learned Winston Churchill lost his 1945 election after what he did with inspiring leadership :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Ki ... tion,_1945
"The result of the election came as a major shock to the Conservatives,[3] given the heroic status of Winston Churchill, but reflected the voters' belief that the Labour Party were better able to rebuild the country following the war than the Conservatives."
