Dev Blog Feedback - May '18

Post by Balthagor »

Hello,

We've posted a new Dev Blog in the news section, but users can't post there, so I figured I'd start this thread as it might just generate a few questions :)

Great news studio is back in business :-)

Can you be more specific about SRGW update?

Is the new game you are working at using SR engine?

I hope you'll be making another grand strategy game. (or will it be a naval Ai game ;) )

In regards to the SRGW update, I recommend checking out the insider build to see what is coming up. There will be more on-top of that when the final update gets released.

I've checked out the insider update and I love the idea of it. I remember there was talk of stuff that was supposed to make it in the newest update and I've been waiting for that to hit. I've noticed that it's been quite a long while and was beginning to wonder if it was just going to stall out or not but glad to hear you're back at it.

As for the project that I know you can't discuss. I personally hope to see a little further back in time, but only a couple of decades or so. I'm not hard set on any specific time period, but sometime between the 1880's or 90's sounds fun to me. But I feel that several things should be focused on.

Firstly, navies should be a priority. A game focused on improving the naval side of things would just be awesome!

Second, I think it's time to remove rubber from the game's resource lists. I understand why you guys wanted to add it for the WW2 time period, but I simply feel it was a failed experiment that has plagued the series ever since. It's time to end it.

I would personally love to see diplomatic improvements as well and feel they'd be fitting for an earlier time frame.

Honestly, if we got an earlier start date with these 3 things, I'd personally be very happy.

Is this new development you can't talk about something that will use existing SR game engine or not? That much shouldn't be trouble to share...

I think the most important question here is, will it have waypoints???

Not sure what you were expecting this week? We are continuing to work on fixing the sync issues so we can push the updates.

But will there be waypoints after all these years?

It's probably the most wanted feature, besides an option to explode the Zuikaku. :D [_]O
